The Production Process
All bespoke shirts are cut upstairs at their Piccadilly Arcade premises in London. One of the last remaining shirtmakers to uphold traditional shirt cutting practices, eschewing computers and shortcuts, to ensure a personal handle on every element of what they do. The cutting team comprises of three wonderful gentlemen, all of whom followed traditional routes into their chosen field and all of whom share a love for what they do and the idiosyncrasies that come with it!
The bespoke and made to measure shirts are all made in England at their workshop in Andover. Their approach is fastidious and reassuring, particularly when sat at our finishing boards where they inspect each shirt before it is pressed and packed up.
Famed for its bespoke and ready to wear shirts, Budd also offers a successful and convenient made to measure service. A premium product, the shirts are manufactured with exactly the same details and care as bespoke, but is presented to customers in a simplified, convenient format. Customers select from three shirt blocks, seven collar and cuff styles and a dizzying range of shirtings, ensuring that the perfect shirt is achieved for each occasion. No fittings are required and turnaround time is swift. This service is available in Georgetown at Sterling & Burke with our trained and knowledgeable staff.
