J.W. Hulme have been makers since the day John Willis Hulme founded the company in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1905. For more than a century, every J.W. Hulme Co. travel bag, briefcase, backpack, handbag and accessory has been proudly Made in America and crafted to last a lifetime.
Each bag is individually handmade by their skilled artisans using the finest American leathers selected from small craft tanneries in Minnesota, as well as Maine, Illinois and Tennessee. Hulme's exclusive leathers are tanned using old-school dying and finishing techniques to accentuate the full grain, color variances and natural imperfections of each hide.
Developed with one of the oldest tanneries in the United States, the signature American Heritage leather has become a classic. The cowhide is double-tanned and hand burnished to create a rich patina that gives every bag its unique character.
At J.W. Hulme, they use only the finest materials and meticulous hand craftsmanship to create leather goods of exceptional quality, and we guarantee them for life.
